I work in an aged care facility run by Columbia Aged Care. How do we discuss concerns regarding workloads?
Under Clause 11 (Workload Management) of the Columbia Aged Care Group, NSWNMA, ANMF NSW Branch and HSU New South Wales Branch Enterprise Agreement 2017, it is acknowledged that employees and management have a responsibility to maintain a balanced workload and recognise the adverse effects that excessive workloads may have on employee/s and the quality of resident/client care. Clause 11 sets out a sequence of escalation points to deal with specific issues. Workload management must also be an agenda item at staff meetings on at least a quarterly basis.
