Extreme Ethical Dilemmas in Nursing

Professional Courses

This program aims to provide nurses with a collegial forum that facilitates debate and enhances insights on how extreme ethical situations relating to practice can be resolved. Ethical situations consistently arise in healthcare. This often involves nurses because of their 24-hour contact with patients and their strong advocacy role. Frequently, ethical decisions have to be made in a very short time frame. This can place extreme stress on a nurse’s decision-making. It is essential that nurses are supported in their decision-making and have forums to discuss contemporary and even extreme ethical dilemmas that may confront them in their professional life.
