Professional Courses

1 CPD Hour Per Session

Target audience: All

Understaffing, bullying, occupational violence – these are just some of the workplace health and safety issues facing NSWNMA members.

October is National Safe Work Month — a time to reflect and consider how to build safer and healthier workplaces. Being healthy and safe means being free from physical and psychological harm.

The NSWNMA is hosting a webinar series during Safe Work Month to assist members with information about your work health and safety rights and to give you a stronger voice in your workplace. NSW nurses and midwives are stronger and safer when we stand together.

Webinars will be held each Wednesday at 4.30pm during the month of October – each webinar will run for approximately 1 hour.

1. ‘Know your work health and safety rights’ – 5 October
2. ‘Ensuring the mental health of nurses and midwives: Work overload/morale injury/bullying and violence’ – 12 October
3. ‘Strong safety representatives in the workplace and having a voice about your safety at work’ – 19 October
4. ‘Fixing safety problems at work’ – 26 October

Registering the once will register you into all 4 sessions.

Each session is being recorded and will be available following on Member Central. We will email registrants when each session is available to view, and we will also release the full series to all members following the conclusion of the series.
