Student to New Graduate – In Person and Live Stream

Target audience: Newly Graduating Nurses and Midwives


Join the NSWNMA for a full 6 hour education day as we help prepare you to transition from being a nursing or midwifery student to becoming a new graduate.

Join us in person at Waterloo or virtually online. 

The topics covered will be:
– Transitioning from Student to New Graduate – What will this mean?
– Professional Obligations

– Documentation and Clinical Handover
– Know your Award and Rostering and How to read your Payslip
– CPD and How to Document and Record
– Appropriate Workplace Behaviour and Assertiveness
– Reflective Practice
– About the NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association

Breaks will be scheduled at regular intervals throughout the day.

For in-person attendance lunch and refreshments will be provided. There will be opportunity throughout the day to ask questions. 

In person numbers are strictly limited. Please only register to attend in person if you are sure you can attend or you may be taking the place of someone else on the course!  

As well as being streamed live, the session will be recorded and be made available to members of the NSWNMA following.
