World Congress of Cardiology Join us in Melbourne in May for the World Congress of Cardiology 2014, the global platform to share knowledge and learn about the latest developments in science, prevention and public policy in the field of cardiovascular health. Nursing will be one of the key topics discussed at WCC, with several sessions and abstracts presented by regional and international experts in the field including:

• Guideline based CV care: the important role of nursing
• Preventive cardiovascular Nurses Association session – Blood pressure, sodium and cardiovascular disease: a global call to action for nurses in prevention of CVD
• Risk prediction in global CVD prevention: absolute or relative?
• Mental health and CVD
• Health behaviours and CVD prevention across the life course
• The global burden of atrial fibrillation – a multidisciplinary approach

The congress will convene thousands of cardiologists, nurses and experts in heart health and many of the world’s most influential speakers on those topics such as Kathy Berra, Barbara Fletcher, Laura Hayman, Sidney Smith, Salim Yusuf, Srinath Reddy, Linda Worrall-Carter and Patricia Davidson.
