What is the waiting period under the Association’s journey accident insurance when travelling to and from work?
The Association provides to members journey accident insurance in case you are injured in an accident while travelling to or from work. This attempts to cover the gap created when the current NSW Liberal and Nationals Government ripped this entitlement away from most workers when it slashed workers compensation laws in 2012.
After a 14-day waiting period, you are entitled to a weekly benefit of up to 85 per cent of your average gross weekly salary for a period of up to 104 weeks for temporary disablement. If you are involved in such an accident and injured, check in with the Association so we can discuss your possible entitlements.
