Have you heard the NSW government wants to hand Shellharbour/ Port Kembla Hospital over to the private sector to operate?

They started with the new Northern Beaches Hospital, now the Baird Government is set to privatise five existing major regional public hospitals: Wyong, Goulburn, Maitland, Shellharbour and Bowral, putting patients at risk, threatening the conditions of nurses and midwives and further Americanising our public health system. Keeping our Shellharbour/ Port Kembla Hospital completely public is the only way to ensure that, irrespective of their ability to pay, patients will be provided quality health care. This is another step on the path to full-scale Americanisation of our health system. Take a stand against privatisation now before it’s too late.
