Rally at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital

In one of the biggest actions taken at RPAH, nearly 200 nurses and midwives took to the streets, highlighting the urgent need for safe patient care through shift-by-shift ratios. 

NSWNMA members at NSW Parliament

Nurses who specialise in emergency, critical care, maternity, mental health and rural health met with politicians to discuss their concerns around unsafe staffing in NSW public hospitals. 

Stop work actions and bed closures

On 2 June, NSWNMA members from six hospitals and one mental health centre voted to take industrial actions, with some sites stopping work for several hours and some closing beds.

Rallying for ratios across NSW

NSWNMA members from the Hunter, Prince of Wales Hospital, Canterbury Hospital, Shellharbour Hospital, Morriset Hospital, Maitland Hospital and John Hunter Hospital rallied for ratios in May 2021.
