Strategic Plan and Annual Report

The New South Wales Nurses and Midwives’ Association (NSWNMA) is the registered union for all nurses and midwives in New South Wales.

Our vision

The New South Wales Nurses and Midwives’ Association (NSWNMA) exists to be a strong, and influential union of members, that is respected as a contemporary leader in society for its innovation and achievements.

Our mission

To win better pay and conditions, and improved health and aged care services for our communities, by increasing the collective power of nurses and midwives’ voices.

NSWNMA Strategic Plan 2024-2026

We have always aimed to achieve the best possible outcomes for the nursing and midwifery professions. To help achieve this, our strategic plan has identified four strategic pillars to prioritise over the coming years, including: pay, conditions, voice and social justice.

These pillars will provide a roadmap that will shape the trajectory of our union, driving us towards greater improvements for all members, whether they work in a public or private health service, aged care, or primary health sector.
