ANMF saddenned by death of Australian nurse in London attack

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) has expressed its sympathy over the tragic death of South Australian nurse Kirsty Boden – one of seven victims of the London terrorist attack on the weekend.

Acting Federal Secretary Annie Butler said the ANMF and its members were today paying tribute to Kirsty for her extreme act of bravery and selflessness in running to help others in danger.

“As a dedicated nurse, it’s clear that Kirsty forgot about her own safety and showed true compassion in trying to help others in need. Hers was a remarkable act of courage,” Ms Butler said.

“Our nursing family across Australia is shocked and saddened.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kirsty’s family, friends and colleagues at this terrible time for

all.”
