Retired Member Activist Group

Many retired and life members have told us they are interested in campaigning on these issues as part of our Retired Member Activist Group (RMAG), formed in early 2016:
RMAG members can:
  • Visit, ring or write to their local MPs
  • Call talkback radio
  • Write to their local newspaper
  • Attend rallies
  • Assist local NSWNMA branches with campaigns.
For Professional (retired) members who elect to join the RMAG, the NSWNMA membership fee is waived. See the sign-up form below.

To thank and acknowledge those involved in RMAG, we offer the following benefits:
  • The Lamp (6 issues per year)
  • Access to Member Advantage
  • Legal advice – retired members are able to access a wide range of discounted legal services from NEW Law, a firm part owned by the NSWNMA. First consultations are free on any matter.
  • Special offers – the NSWNMA is occasionally offered discounted tickets to events or shows and we will notify RMAG of these.
  • Member rates for NSWNMA educational events – keep connected with the profession
We will let RMAG members know about:
  • What’s going on – and quickly!
  • Issues affecting the profession
  • Local events and rallies
  • Contact details of other retired members in their area
  • Contact details of local branch officials.

Life Member Charles Linsell is the interim convenor of RMAG. Members can shape the direction they want to take to make this RMAG work for them. Local RMAG groups meet up socially or for campaign purposes, without a formal structure.
