Together Against Racism

Together Against Racism

The NSWNMA Standing Together Against Racism report exposed that 70% of nurses, midwives, AiNs, and care workers believe racism exists in their workplace. Of those who identify as having a CALD and/or Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background, 64% said they had been a victim of racism.

The NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association opposes any act of racial discrimination perpetrated against individuals directly, or indirectly as an outcome of organisational culture and practices. If you’re experiencing any form of racism at work, contact us for support.

Anti-Racism Collaborative

NSWNMA joined the Australian Human Rights Commission, the Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives, government and community stakeholders in launching the Anti-Racism Collaborative.
