New online CPD training room

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) is pleased to announce a new addition to its suite of online CPD education programs – Body Systems Training Room.

Federal Education Officer Jodie Davis said the new training room, launched today, demonstrates the ANMF’s ongoing commitment to providing not only its members but all nurses and midwives affordable and practical CPD options.

“This website offers low cost subscription access to courses covering anatomy and physiology, disease and disease management and medical procedures,” Ms Davis explained.

“Courses provide an easy understanding of complex body systems, medical and healthcare concepts and scenarios and courses include audio narrations and interactive quizzes shared through a story-board format.

“With a member base of over 230,000 nurses and midwives spread across a variety of diverse occupational roles and geographical settings, a significant challenge we face is providing high-quality yet affordable continuing professional development services. Our online training rooms allow nurses and midwives to undertake their CPD training without the costs or time associated with attending face to face training.

“Our members will have access to introductory savings for the next 30 days, allowing them to save up to 20 percent on the BSTR.

“We are excited to partner with Ebix in this important initiative to provide best practice online continuing professional development for all nurses and midwives in Australia to allow them to remotely fulfil the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) CPD standard for continued registration. ANMF is committed to working with organisations that can assist us to ensure we have one of the world’s most professionally trained nursing and midwifery workforces – now and into the future. We see this launch as an extension of our efforts in that direction.”

The Body Systems Training Room can be accessed via the ANMF Federal Office website at www.anmf.org.au/education.
