Support for the Phillippines

Millions of people in the Phillippines have been disastrously affected by typhoon Haiyan, one of the worst storms on the planet on record. Almost half a million people are in evacuation centres, in dire need of food, water, medicines and other necessities.

The Alliance of Health Workers in the Philippines, in conjunction with Global Nurses United, is appealing to us for assistance, as part of an international network providing support after the disaster.

The NSW Nurses and Midwives Association in our efforts to raise funds for almost half a million people still in dire need of aid have set up a cash management account where all funds collected will be directly donated to the Alliance of Health Workers in the Phillippines in their efforts to provide support after the disaster.
