At the March in August event in Hyde Park Sydney on Sunday 31 August at 1pm, NSWNMA President Coral Levett will speak about the threat to Medicare from plans for GP, pathology and screening co-payments as well as cuts to public hospital funding. Look for regional March in August locations.
International Women’s Day is tomorrow, Saturday 8 March. There will be a rally at 11am at Sydney Town Hall. After a parade to Hyde Park, there will be speakers, entertainment, music and dance. NSWNMA President Coral Levett will be one of the speakers on Zoe’s Law. Look for the NSWNMA flags to join the nurses and midwives’ contingent.
