Work Health & Safety (WHS) Entry Permit Holder Training
Who is this training for?
This training is for union officials who want to apply for a WHS Entry Permit.
WHS Entry permit holders have rights to enter workplaces under the WHS Act, including the right to enter the workplace to consult and advise workers on WHS matters and the right to enter to inquire into suspected contraventions of the WHS Act.
To be eligible to apply for a WHS Entry Permit you must:
(a) be an official of a union, and
(b) have satisfactorily completed the prescribed training, and
(c) hold, (or will hold), an entry permit under—
(i) the Fair Work Act, or
(ii) the Industrial Relations Act 1996.
This course is the prescribed training approved by SafeWork NSW.
To obtain a WHS entry permit to enter a workplace you must have satisfactorily completed the Entry Permit Holder (EPH) training.
More Information:
- Training is a full day starting at 9am
- The course is face to face delivery only
- You will need to bring along photo ID on the day (it is a requirement of SafeWork NSW that the trainer sight all participants’ ID)
- Lunch and refreshments are provided
- Course cost is free for NSWNMA staff and $120 for other union officials (up to five other union official tickets may be purchased in any one order). Registration is online only via EventBrite.
